　　他是老師眼中的優(yōu)秀學(xué)生，同學(xué)眼中的學(xué)神。成績(jī)?nèi)獳，GPA近4.5，在今年五月份Curve非常嚴(yán)的情況下SAT初考1530分。今年5月份他還參加了5門AP考試，其中三門獲得5分，另外兩門獲得4分。

　　Jerry is an extraordinary student, praised by teachers and admired by his fellow schoolmates. His academic performance is impeccable: he is a straight A student with a GPA close to 4.5; he took SAT test for the first time this May, when the curve was quite severe, and got 1530; he also took five AP tests this May, in three of which he got five points and two of which he got four points.

　　除了正式課程以外，他自學(xué)了德語，還師從我校外教，康奈爾大學(xué)的語言學(xué)博士Bonta老師，業(yè)余時(shí)間學(xué)習(xí)拉丁語、法語、西班牙語、梵語、阿維斯陀語等，并從事語言學(xué)方面研究工作，有關(guān)論文將很快發(fā)表。

　　Besides the courses he takes for credits, Jerry has taught himself German, and has been learning Latin, French, Spanish, Sanscrit, Avestan and so on from Mr. Bonta, who got a PhD in linguistics from Cornell University. He also did some linguistic research and will publish his thesis soon.

　　He often uses his strengths to help the community—help his classmates with their study; he was elected as the leader of his homeroom, responsible for homeroom affairs; he is also a member of the school band and often performs on stage.

　　He is also an active participant in charity and practice work: donated books and money to rural primary school, participated in Veolia (China) water treatment project, and worked as an intern in a law firm, helping lawyers process paperwork.

　　剛認(rèn)識(shí)普周琦同學(xué)的時(shí)候，他不怎么說話，臉上也面無表情，甚至還帶有一絲冷峻的氣息，但熟悉了以后發(fā)現(xiàn)他其實(shí)是個(gè)很有趣的人。除了在學(xué)習(xí)上一騎絕塵，精通多門語言之外，課外生活也十分豐富。他學(xué)了多年的吉他，彈奏的水平也非常高，經(jīng)常有機(jī)會(huì)上臺(tái)演奏。在我們的蠱惑下，他也玩起了之前從未接觸過的游戲。讓我們感到驚訝的是，無論是羽毛球，足球，還是斗地主，他都能不落下風(fēng)。在生活中，他也以身作則，宿舍一直都干干凈凈，同時(shí)也幫助同學(xué)，把手電筒、電蚊拍等用品的作用發(fā)揮到極致。像這樣德智體美勞全面發(fā)展的同學(xué)，認(rèn)識(shí)他是我的榮幸。

　　劉老師:普同學(xué)的學(xué)覇氣質(zhì)是很多人一下子就能感受到的，但我印象更深的是他那種不追求虛名、寬容、虛懷若谷的氣質(zhì)。這在當(dāng)今青年中是很難得的。他在胡潤(rùn)排行榜第一的學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)成績(jī)前三，但在11年級(jí)轉(zhuǎn)入更適合自己的宏潤(rùn)博源。他努力尋找每個(gè)同學(xué)的優(yōu)點(diǎn)，寬容地對(duì)待同學(xué)們的不同點(diǎn)甚至不足。他會(huì)好幾國(guó)語言、GPA 高達(dá)4.5，但他總是虛心地對(duì)待學(xué)業(yè)、學(xué)友、師長(zhǎng)，贏得廣泛贊譽(yù)。普同學(xué)不僅僅屬于今天，更屬于未來!宏潤(rùn)博源擁有這樣的孩子，是幸運(yùn)的。我們會(huì)珍惜!

　　Jerry is a student who can grasp an astounding range of material quickly and thoroughly. More importantly, he can in turn ask insightful and probing questions inspired by his roving intellectual curiosity. He reminds me of a student in an advanced college seminar. And while Jerry might seem a bit reserved, as you get to know him, you realize he has a kind and witty and playful personality that amplifies his tremendous native intelligence.

　　Jerry Pu is an exceptional student whom it has been my privilege to teach on an independent study and elective basis. Jerry has an abiding love of, and strong aptitude for, languages; his English is impeccable, and he has also studied Latin, ancient Greek, and classical Chinese. I offered to teach him Sanskrit and Avestan, two important ancient literary languages of the Indo-European family. He rose to the challenge admirably, and after only two semesters working with Vedic Sanskrit, the most ancient and grammatically complex version of this literary language from the Indian Subcontinent, he has already begun to develop some proficiency. He has also done very well with the Avestan language, a language similar to Old Persian. After only one semester, he has completed nearly one half of the textbook and is able to translate Avestan hymns quite well with. Jerry has also taken both my Spanish and French electives, and, as with other languages, has been learning them with ease and enthusiasm. In addition to his brilliance as a language scholar, Jerry has impeccable manners, always conducting himself with humility and respect for others. He is very disciplined and hard-working, and has long since mastered the practice of putting first things first. Despite his youth, Jerry has already earned the title of scholar, and it has been, and will continue to be, my privilege to direct him, in some small way, along the path of scholarship.
