湖南師范大學英語專業(yè)畢業(yè),從教10年,擁有多年國際學校英語教學經驗,在教學上融合了中西方教學的優(yōu)勢和特點,擅于發(fā)現(xiàn)學生的優(yōu)點,啟發(fā)學生的思維。課堂氛圍生動活潑,教學方法靈活多變且幽默風趣,深受學生喜愛,教學成果也得到家長的一致認可。

My name is Nickolas Hook. I am an American from San Diego, California. I have spent the last 10 years within China teaching ESL. My undergrad major is in English, and I did my graduate work in TESOL. Of the 10 years that I have spent in China, 7 of them have been spent teaching primary level students. I enjoy teaching these students because they are eager to learn, and I am able to channel their boundless energy into more productive tasks by singing, dancing, and creating various activities in English to accomplish. I feel that the foundation is the most important factor in learning any language. I do my best to create not only a solid foundation for my students to start their English journey, but also to cement their desire to continue learning English. I am encouraged to see the progress my students make everyday in both aspects.
Nick和周艷老師帶來的《colors》,教學模式真正做到了從以教師為中心向以學生為中心的轉變,全方位關注每一個孩子,通過豐富的肢體動作或表情,打造了一堂氣氛活躍,輕松有趣的英語課。
教學主要內容是學習一些有關顏色的單詞,詞匯部分以實物直觀教學為主,通過 Action show,Hiding and seeking ,Magic bottles等方式讓孩子在具體的情境中反復練習單詞的讀音體味學習的樂,較后,通過talk show的形式,讓孩子在互動的語境中靈活運用所學句型。
