          Education is about transforming lives. At MIS Shekou, we want our students to develop a love of learning; to aim high academically, to embrace all the opportunities of a vast co-curricular

          programme and for students to acquire the skills and responsibilities that are intrinsic to good leadership and global citizenship.

          Sabrina Neil

          Sabrina joined MIS, as a founding member of staff, in August 2018 and after her responsibilities as the Academic Deputy Head in the Juniors school, she assumed the Head of Juniors position in August 2021. She is passionate about high quality teaching and learning of the Juniors curriculum and promoting global citizenship through the teaching of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

          Sabrina has, also, taught in both Key Stage 1 and 2 classrooms, enabling her to provide a wealth of leadership experience and knowledge of the UK Primary Curriculum. She studied for her degree in Primary Education with QTS at the University of Brighton and has recently completed the COBIS (Council of British International Schools) Aspiring Heads professional qualification.

          Our extensive co-curricular program is underpinned by the aspiration of wanting each student to discover a hobby or interest which they have a passion for and one in which their skills and potential are maximized. For a student, ‘being good in a given subject or activity,’ develops a sense of confidence and self-worth which is a key for successful learning.
